Here are just 3 wedding invitation hints every few should follow to be sure they send the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Day: Before you order your invitations or print them out, make sure that you have your wedding site and date confirmed, to avoid changing all the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure that your guests may contact you by phone, email, or article. Knowing your guests amounts can allow you to plan your wedding clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but ordering them along with your wedding invitations will help save you money and time.

After having a few months working on your mind, you probably feel as if you know what there is to know about those paper products. However, before you go into the post office to send out your invitations, there are a couple of significant thing you want to take into account that may have not crossed your mind. Thus, without further ado, here are five things to do to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts aren’t just for great looks.

Whilst placing tissue paper between the layers of your stationery package may boost your costs, it also helps prevent the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink on your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards may rub together because they make their way through the mail. If it is not too late, then add a little tissue paper to make sure your reasonably paper arrives in pristine form.

2. Square invitations need more postage.

Due to the strange shape, square envelopes need more postage to mail. Even though this isn’t a massive monetary gap (roughly 20 cents per card, depending on the size) you can easily cut a couple of extra bucks by deciding on a regular ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for other ways to save your invitations, then opt for an RSVP postcard rather than a traditional mail-in response card, even as the price of a postcard stamp is less than a normal stamp.

3. Never lick on the adhesive to close your envelopes.

To prevent having one of your prized invites open en route, reinforce the closure method on your envelopes using glue or any other super strong adhesive. Licking is not just hard in your mouth (the flavor! Paper cuts!) , it also does not ensure the package will arrive in 1 piece. For a pretty touch, include a sticker or part of washi tape, but do not rely on these things as the main closure approach. They can fall off or catch on other items during delivery.

4. Always take your cards within the post office.

For additional reassurance (and also to avoid risking your invitations needing to battle the components), never drop them off at a street-side mailbox. Should you flip them to a person in the post office directly, they are not as likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to ensure you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp to the composing of the speeches. This is a particularly important step if you’re using classic stamps — they can be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your stamps.

Instead of letting the post office conduct the invites via a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the top right corner and may harm the envelope at the procedure) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. It follows they’ll use a special ink stamp to mark your invitation, and they’ll sort it by hand, reducing the danger of the harm. While some post offices refuse to do this, most are elastic if you pop during a slow time.
