Here are 3 wedding invitation hints every few should follow to make sure they send the perfect invitations:

1. Verify Your Wedding Day: Before you order your own invitations or print them out, ensure that you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid changing all the invitations.

2. RSVP: Ensure that your guests can contact you by telephone, email, or article. Knowing your guests amounts can help you plan your wedding clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them with your wedding invitations can save you time and money.

After having a couple of months working on your stationery, you probably feel like you know everything there is to learn about those paper products. But before you go into the post office to ship your invitations out, there are a few major thing you need to consider that may have never crossed your mind. So, without further ado, here are a few steps to take to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts aren’t just for good looks.

Whilst placing tissue paper between the layers of the stationery suite can increase your costs, it also helps stop the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink on your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards could rub together as they make their way through the mail. If it is not too late, add a bit of tissue paper to ensure your pretty paper arrives in pristine form.

2. Square invitations need more postage.

Due to the abnormal shape, square envelopes require more postage to mail. While this isn’t a massive monetary gap (roughly 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can easily cut a few additional bucks by deciding on a normal ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for different ways to save your invitations, opt for an RSVP postcard rather than a traditional mail-in response card, even since the cost of a postcard stamp is under a normal stamp.

3. Never lick on the glue to close your envelopes.

To avoid having one of your prized invitations open en route, fortify the final method on your envelopes by using adhesive or some other super strong adhesive. Licking isn’t only hard on your mouth (the taste! Paper cuts!) , it also does not ensure the package will arrive in 1 piece. For a fairly touch, add a sticker or part of washi tape, however, do not rely on these things as the main closure approach. They can fall off or catch on other things during delivery.

4. Always take your cards inside the post office.

For additional reassurance (and to avoid risking your invitations having to battle the components), never lose them off in an street-side mailbox. Should you flip them to a person at the post office right, they are less likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to ensure you’ve done everything correctly, from the postage into the composing of the addresses. This is a particularly important step if you’re using vintage stamps — they could be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your own stamps.

Instead of letting the post office run the invites through a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the upper right corner and may harm the envelope at the process) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. It follows they’ll use a special ink stamp to mark your invitation, and they will sort it by hand, lowering the danger of the damage. While some post offices refuse to do this, most are elastic if you pop in during a slow time.
