Here are 3 wedding invitation hints every couple should follow to be sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Day: Before you order your invitations or print them out, ensure you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid changing all the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure that your guests may contact you by phone, email, or article. Knowing your guests amounts will help you organize your wedding more clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but ordering them along with your wedding invitations will save you time and money.

After spending a couple of months working on your mind, you likely feel like you know what there is to learn about those paper goods. But before you head to the post office to ship your invitations out, there are a couple of major thing you want to consider that may have not crossed your mind. Thus, without further ado, here are five steps to take to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts are not just for great looks.

While placing tissue paper between the layers of your stationery suite can increase your prices, in addition, it helps stop the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink onto your own invitations or you went with thermography, your cards could rub together as they make their way through the email. When it is not too late, then add a little tissue paper to make sure your reasonably paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations require more postage.

As a result of strange form, square envelopes require more postage to mail. While this isn’t a huge monetary gap (roughly 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can easily cut a few additional bucks by opting for a normal ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for other ways to save on your invitations, elect for an RSVP postcard rather than a conventional mail-in response card, even since the price of a postcard is less than a normal postage.

3. Never lick the glue to close your envelopes.

To avoid having one of your precious invitations open en route, reinforce the closure method in your envelopes by using glue or some other super strong adhesive. Licking is not just hard in your own mouth (the taste! Paper cuts!) , it also does not guarantee that the package will arrive in one piece. For a fairly touch, include a sticker or piece of washi tape, but do not rely on these things as the most important closure method. They could fall off or catch on other things during delivery.

4. Always take your cards inside the post office.

For extra peace of mind (and to avoid risking your invitations needing to combat the elements), never drop them off in an street-side mailbox. If you hand them to a person at the post office directly, they are not as likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to make certain you’ve done everything correctly, from the stamp to the writing of the speeches. This is an especially important step if you are using vintage stamps — they can be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your own stamps.

Rather than letting the post office conduct the invitations through a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines in the upper right corner and might damage the envelope in the procedure) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. It follows that they will use a unique ink stamp to indicate your invitation, and they’ll sort it by hand, reducing the danger of this damage. Whenever some post offices refuse to try it, most are flexible should you pop during a slow time.
