Listed below are 3 wedding invitation tips every couple should follow to make sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Verify Your Wedding Day: Before you order your own invitations or print them out, ensure you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid shifting all the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure your guests may contact you by phone, email, or post. Knowing your guests numbers can help you organize your wedding more clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but ordering them with your wedding invitations will save you money and time.

After spending a couple of months working on your mind, you likely feel as if you know what there is to learn about these paper goods. However, before you go to the post office to ship out your invitations, there are a couple of significant thing that you need to consider that may have never crossed your mind. Thus, without further ado, here are five things to do to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts are not only for good looks.

While putting tissue paper between the layers of your stationery suite can increase your costs, in addition, it can help stop the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink onto your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards may rub together because they make their way via the mail. When it is not too late, add a bit of tissue paper to ensure your reasonably paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations require more postage.

Due to the strange shape, square envelopes require more postage to mail. While this isn’t a huge monetary gap (about 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can certainly cut a couple of extra dollars by deciding on a regular ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for other ways to save on your invitations, opt for an RSVP postcard rather than a traditional mail-in response card, even as the price of a postcard is under a normal postage.

3. Never lick on the glue to shut your envelopes.

To prevent having one of your precious invites open en route, reinforce the closure method on your envelopes by using glue or any other super strong adhesive. Licking isn’t only hard in your own mouth (the flavor! Paper cuts!) , it also does not guarantee the package will arrive in 1 piece. For a fairly touch, include a sticker or part of washi tape, but don’t rely on those things as the main closure method. They can fall off or catch on other things during delivery.

4. Always take your cards inside the post office.

For additional reassurance (and to avoid risking your invitations having to combat the elements), never drop them off in a street-side mailbox. If you flip them to someone in the post office right, they are not as likely to get damaged in transit, and you can ensure you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp to the composing of the speeches. This is an especially important step if you’re using classic stamps — they could be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your stamps.

Instead of letting the post office conduct the invitations via a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines in the upper right corner and might damage the envelope in the process) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means they will use a unique ink stamp to mark your invitation, and they will sort it by hand, lowering the risk of this harm. Whenever some post offices refuse to try it, most are flexible should you pop in during a slow moment.
