Here are 3 wedding invitation tips every few should follow to be sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Day: Before you order your invitations or print them out, make sure that you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid changing all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure your guests may contact you by telephone, email, or article. Knowing your guests numbers will allow you to organize your wedding clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not only sending thank you cards to your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them with your wedding invitations can help save you time and money.

After having a few months working on your stationery, you likely feel like you know what there is to know about those paper products. But before you go into the post office to ship out your invitations, there are a couple of major thing you want to take into account that may have never crossed your mind. So, without further ado, here are a few things to do to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts are not only for good looks.

While putting tissue paper between the layers of the stationery suite can boost your costs, it also helps prevent the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink on your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards may rub together as they make their way via the email. If it’s not too late, add a little tissue paper to ensure your reasonably paper arrives in pristine form.

2. Square invitations need more postage.

Due to the abnormal shape, square envelopes require more postage to mail. Even though this isn’t a huge monetary difference (about 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can certainly cut a couple of extra bucks by deciding on a normal ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re trying to find other ways to save your invitations, then elect for an RSVP postcard as opposed to a traditional mail-in response card, even as the cost of a postcard stamp is less than a standard postage.

3. Never lick the glue to shut your envelopes.

To avoid having one of your precious invitations open en route, reinforce the closure method in your envelopes using adhesive or any other super strong adhesive. Licking is not just hard in your mouth (the taste! Paper cuts!) , it also does not ensure that the package will arrive in one piece. For a pretty touch, add a sticker or part of washi tape, but don’t rely on those things as the main closure approach. They could fall off or catch on other items during delivery.

4. Always take your cards inside the post office.

For extra peace of mind (and to avoid risking your invitations having to combat the elements), never drop them off at a street-side mailbox. If you flip them to someone in the post office right, they are not as likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to make certain you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp into the writing of the speeches. This is a particularly important step if you’re using classic stamps — they can be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your stamps.

Instead of letting the post office conduct the invites via a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the upper right corner and might harm the envelope at the procedure) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means that they’ll use a special ink stamp to indicate your invitation, and they’ll type it by hand, reducing the risk of this damage. Whenever some post offices refuse to do this, most are flexible if you pop during a slow time.
