Here are 3 wedding invitation tips every few should follow to make sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Day: Before you order your invitations or print them out, ensure that you have your wedding venue and date confirmed, to avoid shifting all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure that your guests can contact you by telephone, email, or article. Knowing your guests numbers can allow you to organize your wedding more clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them along with your wedding invitations can help save you time and money.

After having a couple of months working on your own mind, you probably feel as if you know everything there is to learn about these paper goods. However, before you go to the post office to send your invitations out, there are a few significant thing you want to take into account that may have never crossed your mind. Thus, without further ado, here are five things to do to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts aren’t just for great looks.

Whilst putting tissue paper between the layers of your stationery package may increase your prices, it also can help stop the ink from smudging. If you opted to use a darker colored ink on your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards could rub together as they make their way through the email. When it is not too late, add a bit of tissue paper to ensure your reasonably paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations require more postage.

Due to the strange shape, square envelopes require more postage to mail. While this isn’t a massive monetary difference (about 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can easily cut a few extra dollars by opting for a regular ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for other ways to save on your invitations, opt for an RSVP postcard as opposed to a conventional mail-in response card, even as the price of a postcard stamp is less than a standard postage.

3. Never lick the glue to shut your envelopes.

To prevent having one of your precious invites open en route, fortify the final method in your envelopes using glue or some other super strong adhesive. Licking isn’t just hard on your own mouth (the flavor! Paper cuts!) , it also does not ensure that the package will arrive in 1 piece. To get a fairly touch, include a sticker or part of washi tape, but don’t rely on those things as the main closure method. They could fall off or catch on other things during delivery.

4. Always take your cards inside the post office.

For additional reassurance (and to avoid risking your invitations needing to combat the components), never drop them off at a street-side mailbox. If you flip them to someone at the post office right, they are less likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to make certain you’ve done everything properly, from the postage into the composing of the addresses. This is a particularly important step if you are using vintage stamps — they can be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your stamps.

Rather than allowing the post office conduct the invitations through a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines in the upper right corner and might harm the envelope in the process) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means that they will use a unique ink stamp to indicate your invitation, and they will sort it by hand, reducing the danger of the damage. Whenever some post offices refuse to do this, most are elastic should you pop during a slow moment.
