Here are 3 wedding invitation hints every few should follow to be sure they send the perfect invitations:

1. Verify Your Wedding Day: Before you purchase your invitations or print them out, make sure you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid changing all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure your guests may contact you by phone, email, or article. Knowing your guests amounts can allow you to plan your wedding clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not only sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them with your wedding invitations will help save you time and money.

After having a few months working on your stationery, you likely feel like you know what there is to know about these paper goods. But before you go into the post office to ship out your invitations, there are a few significant thing you want to take into account that may have never crossed your mind. Thus, without further ado, here are five steps to take to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts aren’t only for great looks.

While putting tissue paper between the layers of your stationery suite can boost your prices, it also can help stop the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink onto your own invitations or you went with thermography, your cards could rub together as they make their way through the mail. If it is not too late, then add a bit of tissue paper to ensure your pretty paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations need more postage.

As a result of abnormal shape, square envelopes need more postage to mail. Even though this isn’t a huge monetary difference (roughly 20 cents per cent, depending on the size) you can easily cut a few extra dollars by deciding on a regular ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for other ways to save on your invitations, then elect for an RSVP postcard as opposed to a traditional mail-in response card, even as the cost of a postcard stamp is under a normal stamp.

3. Never lick on the adhesive to close your envelopes.

To avoid having one of your prized invitations open en route, fortify the final method on your envelopes by using adhesive or any other super strong adhesive. Licking is not only hard in your own mouth (the taste! Paper cuts!) , it also does not ensure that the package will arrive in 1 piece. To get a fairly touch, add a sticker or part of washi tape, but don’t rely on these things as the most important closure approach. They can fall off or catch on other things during delivery.

4. Always take your cards within the post office.

For additional reassurance (and also to avoid risking your invitations having to combat the elements), never lose them off in an street-side mailbox. If you flip them to someone in the post office right, they are less likely to get damaged in transit, and you can make certain you’ve done everything correctly, from the postage to the composing of the speeches. This is a particularly important step if you’re using classic stamps — they can be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your own stamps.

Rather than letting the post office run the invites via a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the top right corner and might harm the envelope at the process) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means they’ll use a unique ink stamp to indicate your invitation, and they will type it by hand, reducing the risk of this damage. Whenever some post offices refuse to do this, most are elastic should you pop in during a slow time.
