Listed below are just 3 wedding invitation tips every few should follow to be sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Day: Before you purchase your invitations or print them out, make sure you have your wedding venue and date supported, to avoid shifting all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Ensure your guests can contact you by telephone, email, or post. Knowing your guests amounts can allow you to organize your wedding clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards to your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them with your wedding invitations can help save you time and money.

After spending a few months working on your stationery, you likely feel as if you know what there is to learn about these paper goods. But before you head into the post office to ship your invitations out, there are a few significant thing that you want to consider that may have not crossed your mind. So, without further ado, here are five things to do to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts are not only for great looks.

Whilst putting tissue paper between the layers of your stationery suite can boost your prices, in addition, it helps stop the ink from smudging. If you opted to use a darker colored ink onto your own invitations or you went with thermography, your cards may rub together because they make their way via the email. If it is not too late, add a little tissue paper to make sure your pretty paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations need more postage.

As a result of strange form, square envelopes need more postage to mail. Even though this isn’t a massive monetary gap (roughly 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can easily cut a few additional dollars by deciding on a regular ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re trying to find other ways to save on your invitations, then opt for an RSVP postcard as opposed to a traditional mail-in response card, as the cost of a postcard is under a standard postage.

3. Never lick the glue to shut your envelopes.

To prevent having one of your precious invites open en route, reinforce the closure method in your envelopes by using glue or any other super strong adhesive. Licking isn’t only hard in your own mouth (the flavor! Paper cuts!) , it also doesn’t ensure that the package will arrive in one piece. To get a pretty touch, add a sticker or part of washi tape, but do not rely on these things as the most important closure method. They can fall off or catch on other items during delivery.

4. Always take your cards inside the post office.

For extra reassurance (and to avoid risking your invitations needing to battle the elements), never lose them off in a street-side mailbox. If you hand them to someone at the post office right, they are less likely to get damaged in transit, and you can ensure you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp to the composing of the addresses. This is an especially important step if you are using vintage stamps — they could be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your own stamps.

Instead of letting the post office conduct the invites through a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the top right corner and might harm the envelope at the process) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means that they will use a unique ink stamp to indicate your invitation, and they will sort it by hand, lowering the danger of this damage. While some post offices refuse to do this, most are flexible should you pop during a slow time.
