Listed below are 3 wedding invitation tips every couple should follow to be sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Date: Before you order your invitations or print them out, ensure that you have your wedding venue and date supported, to avoid shifting all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Ensure that your guests can contact you by phone, email, or article. Knowing your guests numbers will allow you to organize your wedding more clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards to your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but ordering them with your wedding invitations will help save you money and time.

After spending a few months working on your own stationery, you probably feel like you know everything there is to learn about these paper products. However, before you head into the post office to send out your invitations, there are a couple of significant thing you need to consider that may have not crossed your mind. So, without further ado, here are a few things to do to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts aren’t only for good looks.

Whilst placing tissue paper between the layers of your stationery package may increase your prices, in addition, it can help prevent the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink onto your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards could rub together because they make their way via the email. If it is not too late, add a bit of tissue paper to make sure your pretty paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations need more postage.

As a result of abnormal form, square envelopes require more postage to mail. While this isn’t a huge monetary gap (about 20 cents per cent, depending on the size) you can certainly cut a few extra dollars by deciding on a normal ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for different ways to save on your invitations, elect for an RSVP postcard as opposed to a conventional mail-in response card, even since the price of a postcard is under a normal postage.

3. Never lick on the glue to shut your envelopes.

To prevent having one of your precious invitations open en route, reinforce the closure method on your envelopes using adhesive or some other super strong adhesive. Licking is not only hard in your own mouth (the taste! Paper cuts!) , it also doesn’t guarantee that the package will arrive in 1 piece. To get a pretty touch, include a sticker or part of washi tape, however, don’t rely on these things as the most important closure method. They could fall off or grab on other items during delivery.

4. Always take your cards within the post office.

For additional peace of mind (and to avoid risking your invitations needing to combat the elements), never lose them off at an street-side mailbox. Should you flip them to someone in the post office directly, they are not as likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to make certain you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp into the writing of the speeches. This is an especially important step if you’re using classic stamps — they can be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your stamps.

Rather than allowing the post office conduct the invitations through a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the upper right corner and might damage the envelope in the process) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means that they will use a special ink stamp to indicate your invitation, and they will sort it by hand, reducing the risk of the harm. While some post offices refuse to do this, most are flexible should you pop during a slow moment.
