Here are 3 wedding invitation hints every few should follow to be sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Date: Before you purchase your own invitations or print them out, make sure you have your wedding site and date confirmed, to avoid shifting all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Ensure that your guests may contact you by phone, email, or article. Knowing your guests amounts will allow you to plan your wedding more clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but ordering them along with your wedding invitations will save you money and time.

After spending a few months working on your mind, you likely feel like you know everything there is to know about those paper products. But before you go to the post office to ship out your invitations, there are a couple of significant thing that you want to consider that may have not crossed your mind. So, without further ado, here are five things to do to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts are not just for good looks.

Whilst putting tissue paper between the layers of your stationery suite can boost your prices, in addition, it can help stop the ink from smudging. If you opted to use a darker colored ink onto your own invitations or you went with thermography, your cards could rub together because they make their way through the mail. When it is not too late, add a bit of tissue paper to make sure your pretty paper arrives in pristine form.

2. Square invitations require more postage.

Due to the strange form, square envelopes require more postage to mail. While this isn’t a huge monetary difference (about 20 cents per card, depending on the size) you can certainly cut a couple of additional dollars by deciding on a normal ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re trying to find different ways to save on your invitations, elect for an RSVP postcard rather than a traditional mail-in response card, even since the price of a postcard stamp is under a standard stamp.

3. Never lick on the glue to shut your envelopes.

To prevent having one of your precious invites open en route, reinforce the closure method on your envelopes using glue or some other super strong adhesive. Licking is not just hard on your mouth (the flavor! Paper cuts!) , it also does not guarantee the package will arrive in 1 piece. For a fairly touch, add a sticker or piece of washi tape, however, do not rely on those things as the main closure method. They can fall off or grab on other items during delivery.

4. Always take your cards within the post office.

For extra reassurance (and also to avoid risking your invitations needing to combat the components), never lose them off in an street-side mailbox. Should you hand them to a person in the post office directly, they are less likely to get damaged in transit, and you can make certain you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp to the writing of the addresses. This is an especially important step if you’re using classic stamps — they could be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your stamps.

Instead of allowing the post office run the invitations through a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines in the top right corner and may damage the envelope in the procedure) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means that they’ll use a unique ink stamp to mark your invitation, and they’ll type it by hand, reducing the danger of the damage. Whenever some post offices refuse to try it, most are flexible should you pop in during a slow moment.
