Listed below are just 3 wedding invitation tips every couple should follow to make sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Verify Your Wedding Day: Before you purchase your own invitations or print them out, make sure you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid changing all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure your guests can contact you by telephone, email, or article. Knowing your guests numbers will help you organize your wedding clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not only sending thank you cards to your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them along with your wedding invitations can save you time and money.

After having a few months working on your own stationery, you likely feel as if you know what there is to know about these paper products. However, before you go to the post office to send out your invitations, there are a couple of significant thing that you need to take into account that may have not crossed your mind. Thus, without further ado, here are a few steps to take to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts are not only for great looks.

While placing tissue paper between the layers of the stationery package may boost your costs, it also can help prevent the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink onto your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards may rub together because they make their way through the email. If it’s not too late, then add a little tissue paper to ensure your reasonably paper arrives in pristine form.

2. Square invitations need more postage.

Due to the strange form, square envelopes require more postage to mail. While this isn’t a huge monetary difference (about 20 cents per card, depending on the dimensions) you can easily cut a couple of extra bucks by deciding on a normal ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for different ways to save on your invitations, then elect for an RSVP postcard rather than a conventional mail-in response card, since the cost of a postcard is under a standard postage.

3. Never lick the adhesive to shut your envelopes.

To avoid having one of your precious invites open en route, fortify the final method in your envelopes using adhesive or some other super strong adhesive. Licking is not only hard in your own mouth (the flavor! Paper cuts!) , it also doesn’t guarantee that the package will arrive in one piece. For a pretty touch, add a sticker or piece of washi tape, however, do not rely on those things as the main closure method. They can fall off or catch on other things during delivery.

4. Always take your cards within the post office.

For additional peace of mind (and to avoid risking your invitations having to combat the components), never lose them off at an street-side mailbox. If you hand them to someone in the post office directly, they are less likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to make certain you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp to the writing of the speeches. This is an especially important step if you are using vintage stamps — they can be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your stamps.

Rather than allowing the post office conduct the invites via a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines in the top right corner and may harm the envelope at the procedure) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means they’ll use a unique ink stamp to mark your invitation, and they will sort it by hand, lowering the risk of this damage. Whenever some post offices refuse to try it, most are elastic if you pop during a slow moment.
