Here are 3 wedding invitation hints every couple should follow to be sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Confirm Your Wedding Day: Before you order your invitations or print them out, ensure that you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid shifting all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure that your guests may contact you by telephone, email, or article. Knowing your guests amounts can help you plan your wedding more clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not only sending thank you cards to your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them with your wedding invitations can help save you money and time.

After having a few months working on your stationery, you likely feel as if you know everything there is to know about those paper products. However, before you head to the post office to send your invitations out, there are a few major thing you need to consider that may have not crossed your mind. Thus, without further ado, here are five steps to take to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts aren’t just for good looks.

While placing tissue paper between the layers of the stationery suite can boost your costs, in addition, it can help stop the ink from smudging. If you chose to use a darker colored ink onto your own invitations or you went with thermography, your cards may rub together as they make their way through the email. If it is not too late, then add a little tissue paper to ensure your pretty paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations require more postage.

Due to the strange form, square envelopes need more postage to mail. While this isn’t a massive monetary difference (about 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can certainly cut a few extra dollars by deciding on a normal ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for different ways to save your invitations, elect for an RSVP postcard as opposed to a traditional mail-in response card, even as the price of a postcard stamp is under a standard stamp.

3. Never lick on the glue to close your envelopes.

To avoid having one of your prized invitations open en route, fortify the final method in your envelopes using glue or any other super strong adhesive. Licking is not just hard in your own mouth (the taste! Paper cuts!) , it also does not ensure the package will arrive in one piece. To get a fairly touch, add a sticker or part of washi tape, but don’t rely on these things as the main closure method. They can fall off or catch on other items during delivery.

4. Always take your cards within the post office.

For additional peace of mind (and to avoid risking your invitations needing to battle the components), never drop them off in a street-side mailbox. If you flip them to a person at the post office directly, they are not as likely to get damaged in transit, and you’ll be able to ensure you’ve done everything correctly, from the stamp into the composing of the addresses. This is an especially important step if you’re using classic stamps — they could be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your own stamps.

Instead of allowing the post office conduct the invitations through a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the top right corner and might harm the envelope in the procedure) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means they’ll use a special ink stamp to mark your invitation, and they’ll type it by hand, reducing the risk of the harm. Whenever some post offices refuse to try it, most are flexible if you pop in during a slow moment.
