Listed below are just 3 wedding invitation tips every few should follow to be sure they deliver the perfect invitations:

1. Verify Your Wedding Date: Before you purchase your own invitations or print them out, make sure you have your wedding site and date supported, to avoid changing all of the invitations.

2. RSVP: Make sure your guests may contact you by telephone, email, or article. Knowing your guests numbers can allow you to plan your wedding clearly.

3. Print Thank You Cards: Not sending thank you cards for your guests for attending is a sweet gesture, but purchasing them along with your wedding invitations will help save you money and time.

After having a few months working on your stationery, you probably feel as if you know everything there is to know about these paper goods. However, before you head into the post office to ship your invitations out, there are a few major thing that you want to take into account that may have never crossed your mind. So, without further ado, here are a few steps to take to make the most of your mailing.

1. Tissue paper inserts aren’t just for great looks.

Whilst putting tissue paper between the layers of the stationery package may boost your prices, it also can help prevent the ink from smudging. If you opted to use a darker colored ink on your invitations or you went with thermography, your cards may rub together because they make their way via the mail. When it is not too late, add a bit of tissue paper to make sure your pretty paper arrives in pristine shape.

2. Square invitations require more postage.

Due to the abnormal form, square envelopes need more postage to mail. Even though this isn’t a huge monetary difference (about 20 cents per cent, depending on the dimensions) you can easily cut a couple of extra bucks by deciding on a regular ol’ rectangular envelope. If you’re looking for other ways to save your invitations, then elect for an RSVP postcard rather than a conventional mail-in response card, as the price of a postcard is less than a standard stamp.

3. Never lick on the glue to close your envelopes.

To avoid having one of your prized invites open en route, reinforce the closure method on your envelopes using glue or any other super strong adhesive. Licking is not just hard in your mouth (the taste! Paper cuts!) , it also does not ensure that the package will arrive in 1 piece. To get a fairly touch, include a sticker or piece of washi tape, however, don’t rely on these things as the main closure approach. They can fall off or grab on other items during delivery.

4. Always take your cards within the post office.

For extra reassurance (and to avoid risking your invitations having to battle the elements), never drop them off in an street-side mailbox. Should you flip them to a person in the post office right, they are not as likely to get damaged in transit, and you can make certain you’ve done everything properly, from the stamp to the writing of the addresses. This is an especially important step if you’re using vintage stamps — they could be tricky!

5. Ask the post office to hand cancel your own stamps.

Rather than letting the post office run the invitations via a machine-operated sorting system (which marks the envelope with thick lines at the upper right corner and might damage the envelope at the process) ,ask them to “hand cancel” your invitations. This means they will use a special ink stamp to indicate your invitation, and they will type it by hand, reducing the risk of this harm. Whenever some post offices refuse to try it, most are flexible if you pop during a slow moment.
